Terms of Use
Clear agreements protect the work — and protect you.
These terms set out how this website and the Become Her™ experiences may be used, what we promise, what remains your own responsibility, and the boundaries that keep this a safe and respectful space for everyone.
Last updated 1 October 2026
01Agreement
These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and Maxine Grant-Adanfoh ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website, submitting a form, joining the Become Her™ Circle or its WhatsApp community, buying a ticket, booking a conversation or attending a gathering, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website or the programmes.
02What we offer, and what we do not
This website and the associated programmes offer education, mentorship, reflection, community and speaking. They are designed to support your growth in identity, purpose, confidence, faith and leadership.
They are not medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, tax or immigration advice, and no professional relationship of that kind is created. Nothing here diagnoses or treats any condition. Always consult a qualified, licensed professional for those matters, and seek emergency help immediately in a crisis.
03No guarantee of outcome
Growth is personal. Your results depend on your circumstances, your effort and factors outside anyone's control. We make no promise, warranty or guarantee of any specific outcome, income, career result, relationship result or transformation, and any story or example shared is illustrative rather than a prediction of your experience.
04Your responsibilities
When you use this website or take part in a programme, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information and keep your contact details current.
- Use the website lawfully, and not attempt to disrupt, scrape, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to it.
- Take full responsibility for your own decisions, actions and wellbeing.
- Treat facilitators and other participants with respect, and refrain from harassment, discrimination, intimidation or disruptive conduct.
- Keep confidential anything personal shared by another participant in a Circle, workshop or gathering.
05Community conduct and removal
The Become Her™ Circle is a place of safety, honesty and dignity. We may decline, suspend or remove access for anyone who breaches these terms, harms another participant, or shares another participant's private disclosures. Where a paid programme is involved, removal for serious misconduct does not create a right to a refund.
06Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, structure, design, photography, video, audio, curricula, workbooks, frameworks, the names Become Her™, Vibrant Visions and Marvelous Light, and associated logos and branding — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trade-mark law.
You may view and share links to this website, and use materials given to you for your own personal, non-commercial reflection. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, resell, teach from, adapt, translate, record or redistribute our content, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
07Recording and photography
Gatherings, workshops and speaking events may be photographed or recorded for documentation and promotion. Where that is planned, it will be disclosed and you may ask not to be captured. You may not record, photograph, livestream or publish any session, or any other participant, without our prior written consent.
08Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you write to us. By submitting a message, testimonial, question or reflection, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it internally to respond to you and improve our programmes. We will not publish your words, name, image or story publicly without your specific permission.
09Bookings, payments and cancellations
Where a conversation, workshop or programme requires booking or payment, the price, inclusions and cancellation window are stated at the point of registration and form part of these terms. Conversations are booked through Google Calendar appointment schedules; please give as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule. We may reschedule or cancel an event for reasons beyond our control, in which case you will be offered an alternative date or, for paid events, a refund of amounts paid for that event.
10Event tickets
Tickets to Become Her™ and other Become Her™ events are sold by our ticketing partner, Bloom, not on this website. The ticket types, prices, inclusions, availability and taxes you see on Bloom at the time of purchase apply, and your purchase is also subject to Bloom's own terms.
Event dates, times, venue details and programme may change. If we change or cancel an event, we will communicate using the contact details you gave at purchase. Refunds for tickets you choose not to use follow the refund terms shown on Bloom when you bought. Attend at your own discretion, follow the venue's rules, and look after your own belongings and wellbeing.
11Email and the WhatsApp community
Joining the Become Her™ Circle means you agree to receive the emails you signed up for, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. The WhatsApp community is an optional extension of the Circle: joining it is your own choice, we never add you to a group using your phone number, and you may leave at any time.
In WhatsApp spaces, the Community conduct rules above apply, and WhatsApp's own terms also apply. Do not share other members' numbers or messages outside the group, do not use the group to sell to members, and expect that members may see your profile name and number. Clicking the invitation link does not make you a member until you choose to join.
12Visitors from across Canada
This website is operated from Mississauga, Ontario and welcomes women from every province and territory. Programmes, events and bookings are described on the relevant pages, and this website does not promise that any in-person event will be held in your city. If you use the website from outside Canada, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for following local laws.
13Third-party links and tools
This website links to and embeds third-party tools, including Bloom for ticketing, Kit for email, Google Calendar for appointment scheduling, WhatsApp for the optional community, video platforms and social networks. Those services are controlled by their providers and governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their content, availability or handling of your information.
14Availability
We work to keep this website available, accurate and current, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
15Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunity, lost data or emotional distress, arising from your use of this website or participation in any programme.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $100 where no payment was made. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited under Canadian consumer protection law.
16Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, liability or reasonable legal cost arising from your breach of these terms, your unlawful or infringing use of our content, or your conduct toward another participant.
17Privacy
Your personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
18Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that province, subject to any right you have under consumer protection law to bring a claim where you live. Before litigation, both parties agree to attempt a good-faith resolution in writing.
19Changes and contact
We may update these terms as our programmes evolve. The current version is always posted on this page with its effective date, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in force.
Questions about these terms can be sent through a direct message to @lady.purpose on Instagram, or by replying to any email we send you.
